Amazon Prime Day Will Include Deeper Discounts at Whole Foods

Just when you thought Amazon Prime Day couldn’t get any better, now you can get discounts on all the healthy food you need to meal prep your favorite foods.

In case you missed all the commotion, Amazon announced this year’s Amazon Prime Day will be held on July 16. (Psst: Here’s What You Need to Know to Score the Best Deals On Amazon Prime Day) The annual mega-deal extravaganza will last for 36 hours and include deals on the wellness offerings, including activewear, skin care, and fitness gear. But for the first time ever, you’ll be able to score steals IRL in the aisles of Whole Foods as well.

Amazon Prime members already receive a 10 percent discount at Whole Foods, but come Amazon Prime Day, members will get an additional 10 percent off “hundreds of sale items” and select Whole Foods popular products, according to an Amazon press release. (Sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial here.)

While no specific grocery item offers have been released, the company reports that Prime members will get the additional discount via the Whole Foods app where customers can scan Prime codes (available through the app) to start saving online and in stores as well. Plus, Amazon Prime Rewards Visa cardholders, who are Prime Members by default, will also get 10 percent cash back—up to $400 when shopping at Whole Foods from July 14 through July 17. (Related: Watch Out Blue Apron, Amazon Is Launching Its Own Meal-Delivery Kits)
